The BOD® has been designed to optimize and maximize your cold brew experience with features that DIY methods could never offer.
If you soak coffee grounds with a DIY method, your coffee grounds will float on top of the water during the brew process, which in turn will produce a weaker and less flavorful extract than what's possible. In contrast, the BOD® uses a cold water extraction process, as opposed to soaking. Our extraction process optimizes extraction and flavor. Unlike soaking, the BOD's shape actually serves as a function and was designed to keep the coffee grounds submerged under water during the entire brew process, and when combined with our optimized micro-mesh filter, maximizes extraction and flavor.
